In an effort toward spring cleaning, of the house and of the mind, I have adopted the concept of exfoliation, from Jess, of the Makeunder My Life blog. Even though I just discovered her idea two days ago, and she is suggesting a fifty item exfoliation for March, I am confident that I can make it happen. The idea is to give away, sell or donate items from your life that you no longer need or love. It is also an effort toward minimalism, which is another idea I am exploring. So many of my things are simply taking up space, collecting dust and creating clutter. My stuff isn't making me happy! This is a novel concept for me because my house, full of stuff, would indicate that I do like stuff, very much! But as I get older, and hopefully wiser, I find that I tend to wear my favorite clothes and shoes more often and the rest just collects dust! I have sooooo many books! Are they all favorites? No, they can't be. I could open a small bar with the number of cocktail glasses I own! Needless to say, I have plenty of items I no longer need or love and freeing myself of fifty of these things in the next two weeks should be a breeze! Its only Day 3 and I'm up to twenty-six items exfoliated!
