I want a new pair of shoes!

Which doesn't exactly follow my resolution of wanting what I have, but it doesn't hurt to look!

These are so pretty!

A shiny gorgeous shoe just makes me happy.

And in Louisiana, the holidays may be over, but Mardi Gras is just getting started! So bring on the ball gowns, the glittering beads and the masked balls! Maybe I do need a new pair of shoes!

Glamourshoes: Feet on the streets of Fashion Week Spring 2012

I love shoes.

I think that's probably obvious.

Here are some of the beauties captured at the Spring fashion shows from some of my favorite street style fashion photographers.

The photos and the shoes are little pieces of art. Phil Oh, of the blog Street Peeper is Vogue's man on the street. Tommy Ton uploads his photographs daily to his blog, Jak & Jil, (although it's getting a re-vamp at the moment) as well as style.com and GQ.com. He considers the fashion editors the trendsetters in the industry today and routinely features what they are wearing. Well, you know, they are the ones who tell the rest of us what to wear! I wish I could wear most of these, but if I could only pick one it would be this pair, and I don't even know who they're made by, so someone please tell me.

Kate Spade Kami Pump, Fall for Shoes, 2011

I want these shoes! The green is such a beautiful shade of green in person! They wouldn't hurt my toes and the heel is sturdy enough to carry me far distances over rough roads! So far, I only find size 5; the 7 still eludes me!

Friday is for Fashion

Friday is for fashion, footwear and fantasy! And Labor Day activities generally fall into three categories; swimming, shopping or sports! What will you be doing? Swimming is our category of choice! But, I've already done my shopping and I really want these! I really WILL NOT be getting them because I would need to take out a second mortgage to buy the shoes AND the outfits to go with them, BUT! I think if I owned these shoes I would find many things to wear with them. The blue color is beautiful!

I did find a couple of less expensive options that might work? What do you think?

Falling For Boots

We had a cold snap today! Almost overnight the high temperature dropped from 104 degrees to 91 degrees! Naturally, I started thinking about boots! I never found just the right black boot last year, so it's really necessary this year! If money were no object, I would pick one of these, probably the Chloe Studded wooden heel. Unfortunately I am practicing moderation this year, and while a tall black boot is necessary and useful, and $900 boot is crossing the line. I do however have a clear idea of what I am looking for; tall, causual but dressy, a heel that's not painfully tall and a rounded yet slighty pointed toe. Maybe tomorrow I will have some more realistic choices! But I would definitely feel like I was wearing Glamourshoes in any of these!
