This year I plan to laugh harder, open my heart wider and want what I have! What are you looking for this year? I also want to scare myself a little, too, by moving toward the things that make me nervous. Making my body stronger by moving it more and filling it with vitamins, minerals and delicious greenery can only bring positive results! Here's my short list, how long is yours?
1. Want What I Have!
2. Laugh Harder
3. Open my Heart Wider
4. Spend More Time With the People I Love
5. Get the Bats Out of the Belfry
-Empty the Closets
-Challenge My Mind
6. Be Green
-Eat More of It
-Consume less of Everything
7. 52 Books in 52 Weeks
-1Q84; complete
-The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo-started
8. Travel Frequently
9. Kiss My Husband Everyday
10. Be Me.
The holidays were amazing and I did get to spend a little bit of time with almost all of my favorite people. My children were all home and it was really nice having their friends back at the house, too. With all the festivities lasting about two weeks, it was wonderful, but exhausting! I spent New Year's Eve lying in a hammock in my backyard watching the neighborhood fireworks-not my normal modus operandi, but really a lovely way to welcome 2012!
Good luck to all of you this year and I hope everyone finds at least a little of what they're looking for and that none of us abandon our resolutions in the first week!

This is a great list! Especially the part about reading 52 books in 52 weeks. Good luck!
I love your goals for 2012! I read a tweet from NY Times (?) that people are aiming to do more with less this year. So I think you're on to something in #1. 1Q84 is definitely on my radar this year, and you are going to love The Girl with a Dragon Tatoo. It's thrilling. Happy New Year, Ann!
how about i ditto your goals!? they are exactly right. especially about spending time with your family and eating healthy. also 52 books in 52 weeks. i'm in, but not really. if i read a good book, i stay up until 3 a.m., and can't afford to do that right now since i teach all day. but in the summer, watch out! i'll catch up. thanks for sharing!
Oh I love your list! I've been working on mine and yet now I feel like I'm missing so many more!
Great list! Happy New Year!
What an AMAZING inspirational list you have Ann! I esp like #10 ... be me. Cheers a a new year of laughter and pressing through things that make us nervous! I'm so glad I stumbled upon ur site.
Great list. I share lots of it. You top me on book reading list. I doubt I can do 52! Have you chosen all titles yet? Will be fascinating to hear your reviews.
