The Guest Room-aka whichever child, relative or friend needs a bed-room.

I have one of three children left at home in a four bedroom house.  My husband has already claimed one room as his music room.  He plays the drums, the guitar and is an avid collector of vinyl records.  So, he needed a room. The other empty bedroom is where my older children, my brother, friends from out of town and friends who shouldn't drive rest their heads.  It is an ugly blank slate at the moment.  When my 14 year old daughter moved out of it last year, she took some of the paint with her Twilight and dance posters.  But what to do?  Men, women, boys and girls sleep in that room.  Theoretically, it's my office and the project room, so needless to say it is multifunctional.  I've decided to make it manly but playful.  My inspiration room is one by Thom Felicia, one of my very favorite designers.

 My 19 year old son will be home from college for the summer, probably the last time if I'm guessing correctly, so I think this will be nice for him.  He is a huge fan of the Original Penguin line of clothing and the thin stripes remind me of one of his shirts.

Penguin golf shirt-The Earl

I'm thinking I might use the penguin on one of the walls as I have one long wall that is tricky for furniture.  I don't want it to be too much of a theme-he is 19, and other more "mature" guests do stay in the room, but I think I can pull it off.  Wish me luck!  And I will report back next week.
