December 6 – Make.
What was the last thing you made? What materials did you use? Is there something you want to make, but you need to clear some time for it?

The last thing I made was the most delicious holiday treat I know of! My daughter and I made Chocolate Caramel Crackers to give to all the dancers in the cast of the Nutcracker. They are simply divine!
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 sleeves Ritz crackers
1 small bag chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 400. Line cookie sheet with NON-STICK aluminum foil for best results. Cover cookie sheet with a single layer of Ritz crackers. In a saucepan, bring butter and sugar to a boil. Pour over crackers. Put in oven for 3-4 minutes until bubbly. Remove from oven and sprinkle whole bag of chocolate chips over the top. Put back in oven for 2-3 minutes. Remove from oven and let rest for just a minute until chips are nice and soft. Spread chips over the top to cover completely. Put in fridge for 2 hours or freezer 1 hour. Break apart and serve.
Variations could include nuts, marshmallows, peanut butter chips, sea salt, etc!
The thing that I have been meaning to make is a set of hand thrown soup bowls. I like wide shallow bowls for my soup with an organic shape. I have taken pottery classes and even own a kiln. I want to throw a set of twelve white porcelain bowls fired with a clear glaze on the outside and a silver and gold glaze on the inside. What is stopping me? I have no idea!
