My favorite people have a healthy sense of humor. I like a little whimsey in my clothing and home, too. Many years ago, one of my co-workers got a buzz cut from the barber that was a little too short. He was a financial columnist for the newspaper and a serious man. We laughed at how childlike it made him look. His very serious response was, "It makes me smile when I see myself in the mirror. And it made you guys laugh. How great is that?" I've never forgotten it. We tend to overlook the simple things that can so easily bring a smile to our face. Now if only this blouse was affordable, I could smile at myself when I put it on, and you might smile too, if you saw me wearing it.

| I do not know who painted this. My husband and I bought it in some random store in Arkansas. It makes me laugh everytime I look at it, which is daily--and that's a great thing! |
