Okay, so maybe I was a little overzealous today. When I went to my local antique store with my new eye on miniatures, this is what I found. And when I got home, the three Designer Series chairs were in the mail. My 16 year old son took the Ray-Bans and the little lucite finger that says "Don't Forget" is so, hopefully, I will be less zealous next time.
I fell in love with Aubrey/Blythe about a week ago. I think I have read at least 1000 pages of Blythe, This is Blythe, Blythe Houses, Doll Houses, Doll Structures, Rement, Miniatures, Modern Dollhouse, Vintage Barbie Houses. I have studied scale 1:6 vs. 1:12, and am still a little confused. I don't even have my doll yet, but she does have some furniture now. I told myself that I would be very selective, and not buy anything that I wouldn't be able to use. Well, I managed to stay true to my word for about six days. I watched things on Ebay, I went to Toys R Us and Target, but I didn't commit. I couldn't decide? Be a true miniaturist, which would mean 1:12 scale or build a 1:6 scale replica of the rooms in my own home, to house Zelda. If I decide to be a true miniaturist, I get to buy the designer chair series, and it takes up less space? If I go with 1:6 scale I go back to my Barbie roots and I have a home for Zelda?
Sooooo...I'm doing both!
